The objectives of the School Library are:
To serve the needs of pupils through print and non-print materials like books, reference books, magazines, digital devices and more!
To inculcate in our pupils a life-long interest and love for reading
To build a culture of reading in our school, for both leisure and academic purposes
To teach good library skills that aid in our pupils’ development in media literacy
To provide relevant resources and activities to supplement teaching and learning in class/school
To collaborate with NLB, READ@Academy & vendors to increase the pool of teaching & learning resources

Bookdrop
Pupils may return books via a bookdrop when the library is closed. Library bookdrops are available anytime during school hours for pupils to return their books. They are located outside the library and outside the general office.

OPAC Station
Pupils may use the OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) to check for books’ availability in the library.
OPAC can be accessed using the OPAC station in the library or at home in any PC with internet connection.

NLB discoveREADS
Pupils may access NLB discoveReads for the list of recommended books to read as well as the borrowing of eBooks online. NLB discoveReads can be accessed online via any PC with internet access.

Book Review Submissions

Library Policies
All pupils are automatically registered as members of the school library. They can use their EZ-Link cards to borrow library items.

Primary 1 to 3 | Maximum 2 books (English or Mother Tongue) | 14 days |
Primary 4 to 6 | Maximum 4 books (English or Mother Tongue) | 14 days |
Lost / Damaged Items
Pupils are responsible for any library items borrowed from the library. For every item lost or damaged, pupils are required to replace the item in kind.

Library Dos and Don'ts

To make the library a quiet and pleasant place, we need all pupils to help observe the following rules:
Speak softly at all times
Walk slowly, do not run
Do not eat or drink
Do not play
Keep the library clean and tidy
Take care of all library items
Return books to the original shelves or leave them in the trolley after reading
Borrow the books at the borrowing station before taking them out of the library


Online Services
Use the school library's online services to search for books, manage loans, borrow eBooks, and submit book reviews from any device.
Programmes
Explore our library programmes, from themed displays and book talks to storytelling sessions and class libraries. Check the Announcement Board for the latest events.
Reading Lists
Browse our recommended reading lists by level and language, and encourage your daughter to borrow these books from the school library.
