Jump into fun and fitness with Rope Skipping, where every skip builds coordination, confidence and teamwork!
CCA Overview
Rope Skipping CCA introduces students to skipping as a fun and energetic sport. Through progressive training, students learn fundamental skipping techniques before exploring more challenging footwork, sequences and routines. Students of different abilities are encouraged to improve at their own pace, enjoy an active lifestyle and celebrate one another’s progress.

Learning And Development
Students develop cardiovascular endurance, agility, balance, rhythm, coordination and perseverance. They learn to set personal goals, practise safely, respond positively to feedback and work collaboratively with teammates. As they master new skills, students build self-discipline, resilience, confidence and sportsmanship.

Typical Activities
During regular CCA sessions, students participate in a variety of fun and engaging rope skipping activities. A typical session includes warm-up exercises, stretching, individual rope-skipping practice and skill-building activities. They learn and practise basic skipping techniques, gradually progressing to more challenging skills and combinations. Students are also introduced to Double Dutch, where they develop coordination, timing and teamwork while skipping between two turning ropes. In addition, they explore freestyle skipping, where they learn creative tricks, footwork patterns and routines to express themselves. Through individual, pair and group activities, students build confidence, improve their physical fitness and develop perseverance as they work towards mastering new skills.
Opportunities And Experiences
Students may have opportunities to showcase their skipping skills during school events or CCA activities. Where suitable opportunities arise, students may also take part in demonstrations, performances or competitions. Participation in selected events will depend on students’ readiness, commitment and the requirements of each event.
Commitment and Expectations
Students are expected to attend CCA sessions regularly, arrive punctually, follow safety instructions and participate actively. They should demonstrate a positive attitude, respect their peers and care for equipment. Students involved in performances or competitions may be required to attend additional rehearsals or training sessions; details will be communicated in advance.
