CCA Overview

At Art Club, there is always something new to discover! Students get to explore different types of art, try exciting materials and turn their ideas into unique creations.

From drawing and painting to ceramics, mixed media and digital art, students are encouraged to be curious, experiment and enjoy the fun of making art. Every artwork tells a different story, and every idea matters!

Experimenting with paper collage while discussing and exploring themes inspired by Singapore’s culture and everyday life.

Learning And Development

Through art making, students learn to:

Be curious and explore new ideas

Use their imagination and think creatively

Try different ways to solve problems

Share their ideas and appreciate others' artworks

Keep trying, even when things do not turn out as planned

Grow in confidence and develop their own artistic style

Most importantly, students learn that art is not just about making something beautiful. It is also about having fun, trying new things and expressing themselves!

Using acrylic paint and found materials, inspired by nature for texture and mark-making.

Typical Activities

During Art Club sessions, students can look forward to:

• Drawing, painting and playing with colours

• Creating artworks using clay, paper and different materials

• Exploring abstract art and digital art

• Trying new art techniques and experimenting with textures

• Working with friends on creative projects

• Sharing their creations and learning from one another

Opportunities And Experiences

Students will have opportunities to showcase their artworks through school displays, exhibitions and special art projects. Their creations may also be selected as meaningful gifts for school visitors and special occasions.

Art Club members can look forward to exciting learning journeys and opportunities to participate in the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Art Exhibition, held every two years. These experiences allow students to discover new ideas, share their creativity and grow as young artists.

Commitment and Expectations

We hope every Art Club member comes with a curious mind and a willingness to try!

Students are expected to attend CCA sessions regularly, take part in activities and care for the art materials provided.

We encourage everyone to be kind, respect one another's ideas and enjoy creating together.

Attire, Equipment and Costs

Students should wear their school attire during CCA sessions.

Art materials for regular activities are generally provided by the school. Parents will be informed if any additional materials or costs are required.
