CCA Overview
In Netball, we aim to develop every student who shows an interest in the sport. Through the programme, students learn a range of skills and tactical concepts that help them thrive on court. We believe that, beyond individual skill, how a team comes together matters just as much. Our culture is one of team before self, and we help every girl come together to create something bigger than herself. Students who join Netball go through a stepped development pathway from Primary 3 to Primary 6. Each year is important in equipping them to take the court with confidence and clarity, and we hope every student will commit to this long but fulfilling journey as she grows into a Netball athlete.
Learning And Development
Students will develop:
Skills: ball handling and movement skills, progressing from basics to game-ready application
Knowledge: an understanding of court space, positions and roles, and tactical concepts of the game
Values and attitudes: a team-before-self mindset, camaraderie, confidence and commitment over the long term
Progression by level:
Primary 3: Court space, positions on court and the role of each position; basic movement and ball skills
Primary 4: Refinement of ball and movement skills; applying them in small-sided court games
Primary 5: Refinement of skills in game settings; building tactical knowledge to take on competitions
Primary 6: Player development and expanded tactical concepts; preparing students to respond to changing game situations

Typical Activities
Ball and movement drills: Students sharpen their footwork, passing, catching and court movement through fun, purposeful drills.
Netball games: From small-sided games to full matches, students put their skills into practice and experience the thrill of playing together as a team.
Video analysis (Primary 5 and 6): Our senior players watch footage of their own games to understand how they played, celebrate what went well and identify what to work on next.

Opportunities And Experiences
We believe strongly in giving our students exposure and opportunities. Beyond the selected National School Games representatives, students will be brought to external netball carnivals, so every child has the chance to gain valuable match experience.
We also have a strong support system. Our coaches, teachers, parents (supporters) and alumni all play a part, and every year, former netballers return to give back to the current team.
Alumni come back to train their juniors even during the holidays.
